Apple's first MacBooks, released in 2006, were equipped with Intel Core processors. These processors were powerful for their time, but relatively limited when compared to the processors of today. The Core series featured the Core Duo and Core 2 Duo processors in the mid-2000s, and the Core i3, i5, and i7 in the late-2000s and early-2010s.

Intel Haswell Series

The Intel Haswell series was released in 2013, and was the first major update to Apple's MacBooks in several years. This series featured the Core i5 and i7 processors, and was the first to use Intel's Turbo Boost technology, which allowed for improved performance when needed.

Intel Skylake Series

The Intel Skylake series was released in 2015, and was the first to feature the Core i7 processor with Intel's Hyper-Threading technology. This technology allowed for improved multitasking and better performance when running multiple applications.

Intel Kaby Lake Series

The Intel Kaby Lake series was released in 2016, and featured the Core i5 and i7 processors. This was the first series to feature Intel's HD Graphics, which allowed for improved graphics performance.

Intel Coffee Lake Series

The Intel Coffee Lake series was released in 2017 and featured the Core i5 and i7 processors. This series was the first to feature the Intel UHD Graphics 630, which allowed for improved graphics performance.

Intel Whiskey Lake Series

The Intel Whiskey Lake series was released in 2018 and featured the Core i5 and i7 processors. This series was the first to feature Intel's Optane Memory technology, which allowed for improved storage performance.

Intel Amber Lake Series

The Intel Amber Lake series was released in 2018 and featured the Core i5 and i7 processors. This series was the first to feature Intel's 8th generation processors, which allowed for improved performance and power efficiency.

Intel Ice Lake Series

The Intel Ice Lake series was released in 2019 and featured the Core i5 and i7 processors. This series was the first to feature Intel's 10th generation processors, which allowed for improved performance and power efficiency.

Apple M1 Series

The Apple M1 series was released in 2020 and is the latest processor series for Apple's MacBooks. This series features the 8-core M1 processor and is the first to use Apple's own custom ARM-based processor. The M1 processor is more powerful and energy-efficient than previous Intel processors, and allows for superior performance.

Verdict

Apple's MacBooks have come a long way since the first one was released in 2006. In the years since, Apple has released a wide range of powerful processors, from the original Intel Core series to the more recent M1 series. The M1 processor is the latest and most powerful processor yet, and offers superior performance and power efficiency
