Alienware M17 Gaming Laptop Launched

Alienware launched yesterday the M17 gaming notebook, featuring a 17-inch display, ATI CrossFireX multi-GPU technology, and Intel’s quad core processor.

The Alienware M17 notebook can be configured with dual ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3870 512MB graphics cards, the Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9300 CPU, up to 4GB of DDR3 memory, up to 1 terabyte of storage using dual 500GB hard drives, a Blu-Ray reader, 1920×1080 display, and optional HDTV tuner.

The M17 also has two built-in speakers with subwoofer, a 2MP web camera, fingerprint reader, wireless, Bluetooth, and Gigabit Ethernet connections, HDMI and VGA outputs, three USB ports, a USB/eSATA combo port, ExpressCard slot, Firewire, and 7-in-1 media card reader.

The 9.5-pound gaming system comes with a 12-cell battery, a full size keyboard with a separate numeric keypad, the Skullcap case design and Stealth Black finish. It’s a “soft-touch, matte black finish that protects the system from fingerprints and scratches.”

Alienware’s M17 runs Windows Vista operating system.

It costs from $1,399 to more than $4,000, depending on configuration.
